Young Men Take Illegal Midnight Dip

   Lawrenceburg Police Officers on patrol shortly before midnight Wednesday found that a group of eight young men had illegally entered the fenced Rotary Park Swimming Pool area for a nighttime swim.

   An officer reported that while passing the pool around 11:43 p.m., he saw the young men swimming in the pool. When they spotted him, he reports that the young men scampered away.

   Three of the teens were detained just outside the pool. The officer saw the remaining five run to a nearby home. When he approached the home and confronted them, he reports that the boys were all “dripping wet.”

   The boys ranged in age from 12 to 19. Officers reported they would consult with Lawrenceburg Parks and Recreation Officials the following day to determine whether any charges would be filed against the boys.
